Laura Street Trio
Downtown Jacksonville, FL
Becovic won the Old Florida National Bank, the Bisbee Building and the Florida Life Building at auction in August 2026 and plans a hotel, restaurants and apartments.

Becovic Development builds new Class A apartment communities and restores historic buildings. The team works from the corporate headquarters in Jacksonville. When a new community is finished, Becovic Development hands it to Becovic Management Group to lease and run.

The Laura Street Trio stands at the corner of Forsyth and Laura: the Old Florida National Bank, better known as the Marble Bank, the Bisbee Building and the Florida Life Building. All three went up in the years after the 1901 fire that burned most of Jacksonville, and they have been empty for decades.
Becovic bought the Trio at a court-ordered foreclosure auction in August 2026. The Residences at Barnett, which Becovic already owned, stands across Laura Street. Becovic plans a hotel, restaurants and bars, and apartments on the upper floors.

The Barnett, The Carling, 11 East and the Trio stand within a few blocks of one another, and Becovic owns all four. The development team plans them together: apartments on the upper floors, cafés and restaurants at street level, and a hotel in the Trio.
One team handles the amenities, parking, service routes and ground-floor tenants for all four. Becovic’s corporate headquarters is a block away, on the twenty-ninth floor of 50 N Laura Street.

Becovic Development builds new communities too. Alder & Main Residences in New Palestine and The Preserve at Gap Creek in Bradenton are in development, and the pipeline includes sites on North Mass Ave in Indianapolis and Gate Parkway in Jacksonville.
The team builds to the standard Becovic Management Group runs to: top-of-market finishes and sustainable products, in communities Becovic plans to own and manage itself.
Converting historic towers, from the structural assessment to the certificate of occupancy.
Site selection, entitlement, design and delivery of Class A communities.
Structuring and compliance for federal and state historic rehabilitation programs.
Ground-floor retail, restaurants and hotel rooms built into residential buildings.
The Jacksonville team structures the debt and equity for each project.
Becovic Development schedules the handoff to Becovic Management Group from the start of each project.
